William Hinton created its factory and rum distillery in Madeira in 1845, which produced the best rum from sugarcane fresh juice, carefully selected. His knowledge has gone through several generations until one of the heirs founded the ENM and rebuilt the old original still, to re-produce the best Madeira Rum.
Thanks to the excellence of the sugarcane used, the Madeira Rum is distilled only once, maintaining the flavour and freshness.

The William Hinton 3 years Rum has the William Hinton Original Rum basis but goes through an aging in French oak barrels. For three years, the drink gains an unique and unmistakable taste.
